On Saturday, June 8, 2013, SBCS’ Accountancy Training and Education Centre (ATEC) held its Foundations in Accountancy (FIA) Programme Committee Meeting, at the Champs Fleurs Campus. Programme Committee Meetings provide a forum for lecturers, administrators and students to discuss various facets of SBCS’ delivery of the FIA programme.
Attendees included the Executive Director, Dr Robin Maraj, Lecturers, administrative staff, students and representatives from Central Academic Administration and Quality Assurance.
Examination pass rates and the challenges students encounter with Computer Based Examinations (CBEs), were discussed. Ideas and suggested solutions were presented as to what students could do to lessen their anxiety and obtain the desired results.
Students commended SBCS in general and ATEC in particular for a high and consistent quality of service.
